Folly Beach Washout Surf Cam. Check in for live images from Folly Beach at the Washout. The Folly Waves Folly Beach surf cam updates with live images from 6:00am until 8:00pm. Wave heights, water temperature and ocean weather are updated every hour at 50 minutes after the hour.
The Waves at the Washout do get good. Folly Beach has the best waves in fall and winter. The waves during this time are consistent and the summer crowds have calmed a little. Late summer tropical storms and hurricanes make September and October good months for surfing in South Carolina. Even into late October, the water temperature is in the 70s. With the right winds and a storm offshore, Folly Beach can produce some excellent surf, at least for the East Coast.
